Last days in Vientian

As I told has written before , I went to Vang Vieng by bus and I decided to come back on bicycle.it took 2 days to Vientiane, 2 very nice and easy day. I had just 160km and 80km per day is very easy.so after I arrived to Vientiane I called Helene ( a French lady who is a member of hospitality club ).before I asked her about hosting me and she was in France, but she told me that she will be in Vientiane when I am there after coming back from Vang Vieng.

Vang Vieng

At first let me say sorry that I didnt write anything for long time, I am in paradise right now, but this paradise had a problem which is too expensive internet access, almost 4 times more expensive than Vientiane, thatâs why I didnt use of internet very often, but no choice and I have to answer my emails and up load the website, so lets pay it. Ok I won't eat tonight due to internet expenses!!!! Hahahaha

After I got my visa for Thailand!!!(It is stupid, Thailand is free for many countries and I have to talk about its visa as a subject), I had to stay few more days in Vientiane to receive a parcel that my friend had posted from Iran, so there was no reason to stay there more and I had few days free. I decided to come to Vang Vieng and stay here for 3 days and then cycle back to Vientiane.

Stuck in vientian

Sorry my friends that I didnt write anything for more than a week. It was because of the situation which I had in Lao, just 2 days before I arrive to Vientiane I announced through an email from David (an agent in Uzbekistan) who was following my request for LOI for Chinese visa that it failed and they dont issue LOI for an individual traveler from Iran (as we are all terrorist, carrying nuclear weapon), so it was ok, I am much open to change my schedule, and I can change my route so easy and take another direction. I arrived to Vientiane and a day after I went to Thai embassy to get visa for Thailand due to I am going to go back home for a short break (3-4 weeks) in middle of September, (also it is a special month in Muslim culture which is called Ramadan and I like to spend that time with my mother at home. I traveled a lot but I have to say that nothing is comparable with the feeling which I had at sunset, in Ramadan on the same table with my mother). so I booked a flight from Bangkok to Iran and ...

Last day

It was about 9 am that left Virgilio and the room, we had a very nice break fast in the room and then say goodbye to my new friend and after that just I run to an internet cafe to check my emails, (in Lao, you shouldnt ignore any internet due to may be the next one is after 2-3 days). The internet was too slow and after almost one and half hour I realized that I did as I could do it by 20 min in some other places. So just I left there and started cycling. It was about noon, but it was fine due to I knew that I have a light day. There was just 150 km to Vientiane and I decided to do it by 2 days, due to I didnt like to reach there on Saturday. So there was no rush, 75 Km each day and it was enough to take time and enjoy and cycling relax.

Meeting Virgilio

When I arrived to the village, I didnt think that I can find any access to the internet there, but fortunately I could find and I went there to check my emails there was not interesting news, I got an email from an agency in Uzbekistan that was following my request for applying LOI for Chinese visa and they told me that they cant do it and the tourist ministry of China doesn't do it for a single Iranian traveler. For few minutes it made me a little bit upset, but just it was for few minutes and after that I remembered that I am following the river and may it going to cross from some other places, so dont push your self Mohammad to get something that is not belong to you, just be patient and follow the river, if it like to bring you to China, nothing can stop you and if not, you can do nothing, so keep enjoying and freshness.

Planting tree in Savanakhit

Today I am still in Savannakhet ¦oh how it is nice not having to be in rush and can be relax. After one day rest and also today, now I feel good and full of energy to continue again. Savannakhet is a very small town and also very empty town. There is no more traffic and always it looks like weekend.

After Savanakhit

I staid 3 days in Savannakhet, I had a comfortable room, which was in reasonable price and a wonderful Thai restaurant just 100 M far from the guest house and totally it was a nice place to rest and recover. It was good time to fix my bicycle which was breaking down after almost 2000km and cycling for a long time under rain, rain is most harmful thing for bicycle and just it ruin everything. Also I had to write some article for a magazine in Poland and some for my website and I had certain time to do all those works. So actually I decided to leave there on the second day, but I preferred to stay one more day and do more, and finally after 3 complete days I left there to Vientian which was about 470 km from there.

Cycling in Lao

I stayed in a small village just after border and there was no any access to the internet and almost no connection to other places for me. So I preferred to leave there by following day, it is true that I needed more rest after Vietnam but there was no reason to stay, no good food and anything else, so I had to cycle 240km to reach to the first city which was Savannakhet,
