A feedback from one of the students in S Korea

Apr

Some days ago I recieved an email from a girl in Korea, where I had a workshop in one school in Daegu city.
I was so happy to read it and it made me decie to share it here with my friends who are following my journey. it can be a sample out of many who will be one of our planet green warriors.
I relied her email and I got one more email. you have her complete first email and a part of the second one here.
here is her email :

Hello! My name is Seoyeong Lee from Korea.
If you remember, I was in Sampyung middle school where you gave a speech to us.
I sat in the first row with my friends and paid attention to your speech.
I even asked you some questions like how did you take a picture of yourself? and after the speech was over, I asked you for your email and got the card.
It would be really great if you can remember me, but if you remember my school, that's enough.

Back to Iran

Jan

Leaving Korea and going back to Iran for getting visa I was still in Korea and didn’t know what exactly to do for taking next step in my way. I didn’t know exactly how to manage my plan with Rick for peace ride project and how to get visa and join him. Whenever I am in this kind of dark situation, I used to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere to think more .I needed a place to be alone .Because of my style of life ,I couldn’t provide this environment easily.

Workshop in Honey Bee English institute inhuncheon

Dec

I met Katie in Chuncheon in my first visit in that city.
I knew her for a while in FB and here I had a chance to meet her in person and she organized me to come over again and talk to her students about my project.
BAsically if I am goig to write about visiting school, I would write the same thing as I do always which is quite boring and here I just copied an email from Katie. I will alsoo add some of the feedbacks from students to this journal when I have them.
To see my students genuinely interested in a topic is no small gift. To see them genuinely interested in a topic and want to talk about it is transforming. Mohammad's visit was special, not just because his story is interesting and inspiring, but because he engages students, and then encourages them to think about important issues facing our planet today.
He brings the world into the classroom, making it small enough for students to hold in their hands and analyze from different angles. Korean students are typically pretty shy, so I was really surprised

A guest house on the middle of nowhere

Nov
27

We passed a little town called Jamseong through a local market which could be one of the best one I saw in Korea.
some traditional music and dance attracted our attention and we sat there in the little square to watch a piece of culture and to enjoy seeing people singing, dancing and be happy.
we looked at our watch both and we agreed to leave as we didn’t know exactly how is the road ahead of us!
Finally we got to the turn off where I could see a climb, a steep one and we left the main road to go through that windy road.
we saw its picture from our Australian friends who went through that road.
we were climbing and after actually a long climb we didn’t reach that windy road, so it was totally clear that it should be in the other side.
We have cycled through so many climbs, so a steep itself is not something to attract our attention but that one was totally different, where we could see the entire road winding and going down which was really nice and worth it to spend a couple of days to get there

Cycling through beautiful autumn in Korea

Nov
20

I was in Korea for sometimes and a part my few days of ride to Daego I did not cycle a lot here in Korea. I heard a lot about mountains, rivers and beauty of nature in Korea and I was about to explore it trough my own exploration.
Regarding to my original plan I supposed to go back to Iran around November 11 to organize our peace ride with Rick.
so I had some days left before I go to Iran and I was thinking that it might not be a good idea to spend just 10-15 days in Japan and instead of going to Japan for such a short time it would be better to stay longer in Korea and see more from the country.
I called Jared a fellow cyclist who I met in Ara bike festival and he kindly invited me to stay with them in Seoul.  I called Jared and after having some meeting one after another finally I made it to their house in the evening.
We began to talk, to share ideas,

Planting tree in Seoul Foreign School

Oct
24

I just posted on my FB that I am going to S Korea. Straight away I received a comment from a friend in Bratislava. Urusla is the one who I was staying with them when I was there.
Urusla send an email to her friend in Seoul who is teaching in Seoul Foreign School and they kindly invited me to stay with them and also Ryan organized few classes to visit and have my workshops.
I couldn’t visit Sophie’s class because she had a quite packed schedule but still I had a chance to have a quick look at her class which was still good enough.
we didn’t plant a tree when I had my workshops in Ryan classes but we agreed to manage it to plant a tree after 2 days when I was going to leave Seoul

After nearly 3 months I am on my back to Iran. last 2 years I didnt travel much because I should spend more time in Iran working on the Association to develop it. this year also I will spend few months in Iran in order to do more work for the Association. Of course is not that easy for me to stay in Iran long time but I have an important job to do though.
I think I am almost done with Europe and my next leg of journey will be South America in 2018.
