I left Geneva in an amazing day. Weather was just great and still I could enjoy beautiful autumn and colorful trees around Geneva and on my way to Bern. I cycled to Lausanne and my good friend Shahriar drove me to Neuchatle and I cycled to Bern from there. It was totally dark which a car hit me but not very serious and I didnt fall down. A young girl came and she was really stressed. I told her just to calm down and she can go and when I am at home I will check my bags to see if there is any damage. I just passed her my phone number and she called me at night to make sure everything is allright and I was totally fine.
In Bern I met with Benno Frauchiger who is in fact my oldest friend from my journey. We met in January 2007 in Pakistan border to India and now we are part of the same association ” WE NEED TREES “.
It is always so good to meet him and enjoy his company specially with his young little girl which is so sweet.
Many years ago when I was in Iran cycling through dessert I stayed in a lovely guest house called Ateshooni. I met Tamara there and our friendship continued . anytime I come to Switzerland I meet her and she does her best to meet. This time we had a lovely hike around Interlacken which was an amazing day.
A beautiful day on our hike to the mountain. Amazing weather and of course Swiss Alps with its unique scenery.
I left my bike in Bern and I went to Zurich to have my workshop in Montessori school in Zurich where Rachelle is working. Stephen was around 9 years old when I met him first and now he is a young man full of passion and kindness in his heart. We are like a family and he is just like my brother.
After Bern I cycled toward Guttannen where I could meet Simon and Barbara and their little Yonic who was just as sweet as honey.
I cycled around lake Tune. I have done it many times but still looks like the very first time I am cycling there. Just amazing.

I stayed there one week which was still too short to be there with them to enjoy warmth of their heart. Yunic learned how to say ” Lets go” and ” Noosh e jan” and kept repeating them in his sweet words.
This picture for when I left Zurich again toward Austria. It wa ssnowing the night before but blue sky that day. very beautiful but of course damn cold.
I had -10.1 C and still another 30 km to go. Klaus called me and asked me to stay there and he came to pick me up. Klaus is kind of my winter survival and few times helped me to get out of cold places.
After I left Zurich and around Rapperswill I saw two person swimming on the lake. I shout” It is cold…” some min later a car was passing and they invited me to have coffee with them. I followed them to their house. Roland and Iris were those who were swimming. A lovely chat and conversation and I continued…
On my way from Guttannen to Lucern I passed through very small roads but it was on a higher altitude and of course much colder.
In Zurich I went to visit Roberto and Miki who are dealer of Ortlieb products in Switzerland. They have supported me with my bags and now they fixed all my bags properly to have them ready for south America. He changes all clips and fixed all wholes on my bags.
In Zug I met Juerg. I hosted him in 2004 in Iran when he was cycling to China with Andi. Now he has a big family, 3 sons, wife and a lovely home. One of the best part of journey is to meet friends who are damn far from you.
In Lucerne I met Margareta and Louis and I stayed two days there with them. They are those who supported me at the very first time in 2006 and helped me to start my journey. I consider them as God parents of my journey and WE NEED TREES project.
They were the very first people who trusted me and believed me which is so big.

And I met Klaus. He is one of my best friends and I always try to meet him when I am around Switzerland. He is just great and his wife Karoline and his boy an daughter. He is the one who taught me how to ski.
This is a little story of my ride from Geneva to Austria . I decided to use more pictures and short notes. SO it wont be that boring to read.
