Planting Hundreds of Oak Seeds in Algen Protected Area, Iran

This project was undertaken in December 1400, to plant over seven hundred oak seeds in the “We need trees” field within the Algen Protected Area. Algen Protected Area, situated in Algen village within Iran’s Kohkiloyeh and Boyer Ahmad province, has seen significant conservation efforts in recent years. Led by Saeed Ansarian and Mohammad Darvish, along with local residents, over a thousand hectares of forests have been protected and restored. Their goal: to revive oak trees threatened by sheep grazing. Through their dedication, they’re safeguarding this natural haven for future generations.
