Workshop in International school of Stavanger

When I was in Geneva, my good friend Marcia Banks told me about her friend who is principle of International school of Stavanger.
I didnt hear anything back and I just showed up in the school on Monday morning where I met Dr Linda Deuvel.
She already knew about my project and kindly introduced me one of the teahcers and in a day he organized 4 presentations.
It was absolutely fantastic to see how quick they organized ecerything while sometimes school ask me to inform them a month or two in advance which is kind of impossible for me.

Anyway Trent sent an email to his colleagues and we ended up with 4 presentation for 8 classes which we would combine 2 classes from each presentation.
It was as alwas wondereful to be with kids and share some ideas with them and to hear their thoughts about trees.
The other wondrful part of this visit was meeting Simon Taylor by chance.

After exchanging few emails with Trent about organizing the presenttions, he sent me an email which was from one of the teachers!
” Hi Trent
We know him! (sort of)
He’s Iranian from Mashhad in the North East, we stayed with all of his friends all over Iran a few years ago and he helped us out loads. He was in Tehran at the time so we never actually got to meet him, just chatted on the phone.
Didn’t know he was in Stavanger. We will definitely pop to see him.
Who is he staying with? Give him our phone number ….”
It was so good to meet Simon after 5 years. I knew them since they were traveling through Iran in 2009 and here again just by chance in the same school as I wa going to present my project.

what an amazing life…
After I finished with all 4 presentations I cycled b ack home ( I am staying with Simon now ) and began to do some more work on PC and now I should get ready for tomorrow to leave for my next destination.

November 17

After 6 amazing months in Argentina, I am in Chile now. At the moment I am far south in Punta Arena and will go north soon. I needed two days of complete rest and now I am just in a room doing almost nothing to recover my body and mind. Last month was very tense for me an da lot of work ( Of course traveling ) and my body forced me to shut down for two days. I will start cycling from Monday again.
