Cycling from Saverne to Geneva

After 2 nights in Saverne I had to leave to be in geneva in my planned time. Kaveh, a friend of mine who I was staying in his place for two nights decided to join me for a day trip. so we went up to the mountain on his van and camped there for a night, a very windy, cold and wet night.
The next morning was just a nightmare to leave the warm place as wind was blowing so hard ( 70 mph ghuts ).
But finally I decided to pack and leave and he also wanted to join for a half day ride with me…

First we had a lovely walk on those beautiful mountains.

Then we start riding through a fuggy, cold but mysterious road in the forest and wind just stopped as soon as we sat on our saddles.

We cycled up to the Le Grand Ballon pass with 1325 m altitude and there we had a coffee and Kaveh returned to his van.

I cycled till evening and finally I found a nice place to camp where I could have an amazing view over  mountains.

The next day was just a beautiful ride. nothing special and just riding and enjoying beautiful nature.

It was going to rain for two days, so I had to be prepared for food and also find a nice place where I could stay two nights in my tent.
Having a wonderful tarp which my friend Erick from Norway has sent me was a wonderful opportunity to stay dry and enjoy nice view from my tent while outside was just raining all day and night.

My amazing morning window with Mr Kazem in my picture and coffee maker. two elements which are always available in my windows in the morning.

Drying up my tarm, cleaning the mess I made after two days in the tent and of course getting ready to hit the road again. Still one more night on the road before I go to Geneva.

Another amazing lovely ride in some beautiful roads in France. I usually use Michelin maps ( https://www.viamichelin.com/) which are just great and they show scenic roads, so I can easily find my way through amazing roads.

I arrived Pontarlier at night and was looking for a place to camp.
I knocked a door to ask permission if I can set my tent on the backyard.  Gaeten, the man told me it is cold, but you can camp in his garage, so it will be warmer. Then he invited me to his house to have a coffee and offered me to use the shower, it continued to offer dinner and then telling me that I can stay inside in their extra bedroom.
These are the magic moments of traveling when I can meet people’s soul.

Ily which actually represent ( I love you ) was amazing kid who just became a friend right away when I had my coffee. we played a lot.

LATEST NEWS

November 17

After 6 amazing months in Argentina, I am in Chile now. At the moment I am far south in Punta Arena and will go north soon. I needed two days of complete rest and now I am just in a room doing almost nothing to recover my body and mind. Last month was very tense for me an da lot of work ( Of course traveling ) and my body forced me to shut down for two days. I will start cycling from Monday again.
